Prayer is a beautiful, as well as essential, way to ask for Our Lord’s help and blessings. Even when God doesn’t answer our prayers as we’d like, He gives us the grace to cope with our problems and tragedies better in any case.
Don’t think that any request is too small! Our Lord Himself said “ask, and you shall receive” (John 16:24). Your requests become that much more powerful when others are praying for you as well. Also, it is a truly divine form of charity to pray for others, especially for those most in need!
As Pope Gregory the Great once wrote “He causes his prayers to be of more avail to himself who offers them also for others.” In other words, as our Lord said in Luke’s Gospel “Give and it shall be given to you” (Luke 6:38). And, as a popular saying goes “God cannot be outdone in generosity!”

Dear St. Jude and Sacred Heart of Jesus, please hear my call unto you. Also, followers of Jesus, please pray for my ex-husband's nephew, Jake, who is only 11 years old. I was told that Jake was hit by a car last night coming home from his friend's house. The neurologists at the hospital say that he has had too much hemorraging in his brain, which therefore has caused him to slip into a coma. Doctors say that it does not look good for him, and he is probably not going to make it. Please pray for him and his family. Dear St. Jude and Dear Sacred Heart of Jesus, please heal him. Please send down a miracle from the heavens above. If it is indeed his time to pass, please welcome him with open arms into Your Glorious Kingdom where he will hurt no more. Please pray for my husband, Mitchell. He has lost his job, and has to find one to pay his loans or we will lose our home if we don't meet the payments. He's very depressed and has been out of work for almost 2 years. He has been searching so long but nothing seems to be going his way in terms of success in fiding a steady or permanent job. He had plans for us, a newly married couple, and we had plans of starting a family, but that has to be on hold before we are financially stable. Dear all, I’m requesting your prayers for my Dad, Anthony M. He has been hospitalized last night, as he could not pass urine. The sonography and tests have been done, and the reports are expected in the evening around 8pm. Depending on what the reports say, Dad will be treated further or discharged. Pray ardently for the quick recovery of my Dad. That the reports are clear and he may not require surgery. That the wall of the fire of the Holy Spirit may engulf Dad's prostate gland and reduce its size. With God on our side, we claim Dad's healing. I loved a girl named K and I still love her. She loved me a lot and she never expressed her feelings and love for me but I felt it. Now she has broken up with me. The problem was she was 1 year older than me. But I'm not angry with her. My Dear Lord, I thank your for your grace, mercy, and the blessings that you constantly bestow on me and my family. I pray and ask for continued assistance. The financial burden we face appears to be too big, too large for it to go away, to disappear, and we seem to continue to get further and further behind in everything. I know what we need but I also know you know what is needed better than any of us. I pray that this financial burden may be lifted through a raise or a consultant opportunity for me; along with consistent pay for my husband in addition to a better paying job without drama. My Dad (Charles) received word his bone scan from this week indicated a spot on his spine. He will have another MRI on Monday, Aug. 2. Please pray his prostate cancer has not and will not spread to his spine/bones and that he will have a successful surgery to remove his prostate. LF 7/28/10

Just had a meeting with our administrator. He discussed major jobs cuts with the school staff. These cuts will affect non-teaching positions (700). But as of now my department supposedly will not be touched. I'm praying for everyone, but I'm also praying my position will not be cut. I desire your prayers. Dear St. Jude, please pray for my family. We are going through some very bad times. I need my grandson Gregory home to my house. This is the only home he ever had. DCF wants to put in a foster home. They say I love him too much. They don't want me to have a licence for him to come home. When he heard this he went AWOL. The demon says that he wants to destroy us from within and when we are almost a sleep or sleeping very heavily he tries to touch our chest and hearts with his hand to get inside our souls. However, we all rebuke him in Jesus' name and he goes away and can't get into our souls. I have seen scorched marks of a hand on the mattress, sheets and blankets that can't be washed out. The scorches on the mattress eventually disappeared but the sheets and blankets had to be thrown out. Please pray that we receive an exorcism of my family and I and our home. Dear God, for the longest time, these past 1.5 years have been tough for myself and my wife. Both of us were laid off from our jobs. Our living God Jesus, I don't even know what is your plan and will for James C. Why is it that his pains and suffering are never eased? He is still struggling to win his case at the UK embassy in Malaysia. Despite that fact that his case is never against the law and there have been no crimes on it, why is that he still stranded in this country? Being a Malaysian and his future wife couldn't help much as the officers never allow any involvement by an outsider. These officers never wanted to help him either, even though James is their people. When I volunteered my time to the St. Vincent de Paul food and clothing bank it gave me such a feeling of thankfulness, for at the time I was going through cancer treatment. Please help me to strengthen my mind, body, and soul, and for the father (Sam) of my 3 year old son to love me like before and return to me. I am so hurt and heartbroken because I was a Lutheran. Then he asked me to come and be a Catholic because he said he wanted to make things right. He knew that the Father of the St Hubert Parish would want me to attend a confirmation class before we got married, so I attended the class and was confirmed in 2007 as a Catholic. On December 29, 2008 he just changed. He said he needed space. I waited for months. When I asked him when he was coming back he just told me that we must move on with our lives and this relationship was not working. I asked him what I have done so wrong. He couldn't answer me. I don't know what I have done so wrong. I kept on praying for him to contact me. On Sunday afternoon May 30th he came and told he is really sorry he knows that he has hurt me so much and he asked me to forgive him. I told him I had forgiven him and I was so excited that things were getting better between us. I was surprised by Monday. He sent me a message saying: "Jacqui thank you for opening your heart and forgiving me but I didn't ask for forgiveness for us to get back together. It was for Tshiamo our 3 year old son". I was heartbroken because I didn't understand why in the first place he came and said he's sorry; and secondly how does a 3 year old child know or understand what was he’s doing wrong. I really don't know if he meant it it when he said he's sorry or not, but only God knows. I trust in Him and I gave everything unto Him. I even told Sandile’s mother about his behavior thinking that, as they are Catholics, she'll come up with a solution for us to solve this problem. But instead she said she doesn't want to interfere into two people's matters. I was hurt and disappointed at the same time. Please pray for me that Sandile repents and does the right thing as a Catholic because I still love him very much and pray God to bring him back to me and marry me as he promised. Please pray for me, I’ve been unsuccessful in my job hunting. One after the other, my job applications were rejected and my interviews were unsuccessful. I am deeply saddened by these failures but I’m still praying and hoping that the Lord will answer my prayer in His time. Unfortunately, my wife is nagging me more because of my job hunting failures, saying that God is punishing me for the sins I have allegedly committed against her. Pray for deliverance of my wife too. Although she is a Catholic, she doesn’t believe in Mother Mary, the Sacred Images of the Sacred Heart and the Immaculate Heart, and the sacrament of confession. Please pray for Nicole O and Family. As she says:" My husband, 3 girls and I went in for my routine 19 week ultrasound. We all got to see our baby moving around and looking perfect. However, upon further examination, the Doctor noticed something concerning. She then sent me for an MRI for further testing. Apparently, there is a 1 inch opening in my uterus where I had been cut during my 3 prior C-sections. We were then sent to my Doctor to discuss the results. She gave it to me straight: its not good. She went over the options. She even said termination due to the risks of continuing the pregnancy. Well, I am definitely continuing the pregnancy! So now the plan is that I am on complete bed rest and will be admitted into the hospital soon for the remainder of the pregnancy. No doubt the baby will be born early. The best case is if I can hold on another 12 weeks and give birth at 32 weeks. If not, she will be born as an extremely premature baby, as well as me needing some extensive surgery. My parents have been wonderful and are taking care of our 3 girls. Yet, another event happened today. My husband came home today from work and informed me that he was let go. On the positive side, he has 3 months severance with full benefits. For some reason, I can't help but look at this as a blessing. Maybe this is God's way of saying that we need to be together right now to get through this difficult time. He is smart and I know he will get a new job. All I know is that I need him right now." Please pray for me. I am under attack from Satan. My life has been turned upside down. Pray for my brother, for his soul is lost. He is in jail for abusing and neglecting my 90 year old mother, Doris, who has advanced Alzheimer's and doesn't know anyone. She seems tortured and desperate in her state of mind. My mother is now in a nursing home on full time care as she wanders and is a fall risk. She is a danger to herself as her mind is gone. My mother was found almost dead in her house. She only weighs 65 pounds. The evil that was in her house after my brother's arrest by the police was horrid. He trashed her house and there was feces and urine throughout her house. I have blessed the house, and rebuked all demons to leave in the name of our Lord and Savior, and his blood, to cleanse, purify, and protect. Pray for St. Anthony to help assist me in this desperate and lonely time in my life. Also pray for my daughter, Ashley, who is living in Atlanta. Her job is high stress, and she is on the verge of a total nervous breakdown, emotionally and physically. She is not thinking clearly and is being attacked daily by evil in the "big" city life. Pray for calming peace and healing for her, both physically and emotionally, and for wisdom for her to move forward spiritually. Pray for my son, Shane, who is a helicopter pilot on his 2nd tour in Aghanistan. Pray for his safety, and that of all of our troops. Also, my husband is having spinal issues, and is elderly. Pray for his healing, and give him peace and comfort through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. My name is Anna. Earlier I had friends who were non-Catholic and I was away from Jesus. I was very happy and got everything I wished for. One day I went to Tabor and realized I was wrong and I came back to Jesus. From that day on there has not been a single day I am without tears. First I lost my job then I was jobless for 6 years. Last November I got a new job and I was very excited. As a part of Thanksgiving I attended a 9 day novena to “Mary help of Christians”; offered Thanksgiving mass. As a gift from God I again became jobless. In spite of my hard work and sincere efforts I could not achieve my targets so my manager didn't even pay me my one month salary. I am facing too many financial problems. I request you to pray for a miracle that my manager's mind changes and she pays me my salary, as I have put in too much effort. Jesus, I think this new job offer is not good for me. I think it is best for me to stay back at my current company. I am so sorry I planned and acted without consulting You first, not trusting You due to my fears. Now it may be too late. But Lord, whatever is impossible for man is possible for You and I claim deliverance in Your Name, Jesus. I know that if You will, if You just say the Word, and it will be done. And so I commit this plan unto Your Hands, and I ask that You see me through. I feel happier and more peaceful staying back, finally becoming more stable in my career, and being with colleagues I call my friends. Also, if I stay back, I can attend weekday Mass at a nearby church which I promise I will not take for granted anymore if this happens. Lord, you say that whoever that seeks joy in You, You will give them the desires of the heart. So Lord, I claim this desire to be where I know I feel happy and peaceful with. And I don't want to engage in activities that are not of You. Help me in this desperate request of mine. I have done all I can. Lord, now I give it to You and watch You work a miracle in my life. I know You will give me what is right and good, so that I will become all You want me to be. I will be eternally grateful if You can deliver me from this situation, this fear, this confusion and sadness and I promise to ever be faithful to You. I have dependents on which I need to provide them the financial support. Please help me fulfill this basic need of mine. Teach me to keep my peace in Your Spirit so that I will not worry unnecessarily. Help me to put my full trust in You. You do not make mistakes Lord. I don’t know why this is happening, how it can be resolved, but I know You are in total control of my life. Show me Lord, that You are leading me to green pastures in Your grace.
